Kimberly Park

An accomplished public relations professional and strategist, Kimberly Park began her communications journey in Houston as a media spokesperson for U.S. rice farmers and millers, traveling nationwide to speak on their behalf and subsequently directing all facets of national marketing activities for the $6 billion industry, including programs targeted to media and consumer audiences, as well as foodservice, food processing and retail trade.

After launching Kimberly Park Communications in 2005 with two national food clients, Park quickly made her mark evident through the integral role her one-stop PR shop played in launching many of the city’s most buzzed-about dining venues. Today, she is regarded as a respected leader and instrumental force within Houston’s vibrant restaurant industry. 

Park’s creative efforts have garnered unprecedented national publicity for those she has represented, including Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, CBS Mornings, The Tonight Show, CNN, ESPN, Lifetime TV, E! TV, Food Network, Food Channel, Forbes, HGTV, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetít, Saveur, GQ, Good Housekeeping, Better Homes & Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, Southern Living, Texas Monthly and more. Today, she and her talented team excel at assisting clients and media professionals alike and have built a reputation as a crew both can count on to provide timely, accurate information, high-quality imagery, eloquent spokespersons, and beyond.

Throughout the years, Park’s “whatever it takes” attitude, creative skills, and business savvy have earned her numerous public relations and marketing awards, including “Restaurant Marketer of the Year” from the American Marketing Association, Award of Excellence for “Corporate Consumer Education Materials” from the International Association of Culinary Professionals, Award of Excellence for “Writing: Special Projects” from the International Association of Business Communicators,” Gold Excalibur Award for “Marketing Communications” from Public Relations Society of America and Crystal Award from The American Marketing Association for “Marketing a Product,” among others.

 Born in Hawaii and raised in Minnesota and Texas, Park received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, which has since honored her as a “Distinguished Graduate” for her achievements in the culinary field. She has also served as National Chair for the Food & Beverage Section of the Public Relations Society of America and President of the Houston Culinary Guild.
